Cinema 4D Tutorial – How to Make a Dynamic Skateboard

Going to try and get more tutorials on here, so I’ll start with a simple one on how to make a dynamic skateboard. In this tutorial I go over modeling a very simple skateboard, using a couple of connectors and motors I make it work all on its own. It might show a little but I have definitely had a few drinks before and during this tutorial so there are a few slightly odd moments but just go with it….

I didn’t go over lighting and texturing, there will be other tutorials for that sort of thing. Most of that is actually covered in the realistic coin tutorial from before.

Hi, yes, it is possible to make the using the bend modifier and perhaps using a symmetry object on the two halves. I just found this alot easier! 🙂

So cool to see your tuts. Allways gratefull for people taking the effort to share knowledge. Because you made this tut some months ago I presume you worked the chamfer “bug” all out or you got the answer allready from someone else, but on the other hand… Don’t see an answer on here.
So at the risk of bringing old news: after selecting chamfer, everytime you click, you will get extra points, so click once en drag-drag-drag… or use the menu on the bottom right to drag the value. Allso, before using the rotate tool, you can place the axis at the point you want the bending to start, not that I would prefer this method for the bending. But hey, that’s just me.
    Again: respect!!
