Cinema 4D Tutorial – Vortex Text Reveal

Hi Guys, Sorry I have been quiet lately. Been mega busy with work, extra curricula work and various other stuff… All sucking up my time! I wanted to do something fun so for this tutorial we look at using MoGraph to make a ton of cubes fly around in a vortex before making up some text then finally coming crashing to the floor!

Lots of fun stuff in here..

There is definitely some useful tips to be found! I also decided that on this one I’d include an extension tutorial with how to actually render and composite the animation in after effects. This way its optional!

Example:

Extended Tutorial

I decided to add an extension on to this tutorial, it follows the previous tutorial on how to create a super cool vortex text reveal. Here we go into the render settings and composting in after effects.

Brilliant tutorial! I’ve been doing 3D for 25 years but I’ve only just started with Cinema 4D (coming from Maya) now that it’s bundled in the Adobe Suite and this was really my first tutorial. RMF is a great place to start! Quite a change from Maya! You make it seem so easy. I think that’s because in C4D… it is!! Loving it! Very cool! Love the style of presentation and wry humour too! Keep up the great work Rory!
