Anyone up for a meet up type gathering?

Anyone up for a meet up type gathering?

Ok,  I was in the pub last night talking to a good friend of mine and he suggested that I see if anyone that visits my site that also happens to be relatively near by, fancies some kind of gathering…. Nothing over the top, just meeting up in a venue of some sort (most likely a pub) to talk 3D and generally geek out about animation and global illumination… I figure that I doubt I will actually get anyone interested but I’m going to go ahead and put it out there anyway…

So.. To summarise. I’m thinking of putting together some sort of gathering which will either be in London or Essex which ever gets the most (if any) responses and interest. Stick a comment below if this sounds good to you.. Even if you can’t make it due to distance feel free to let me know your thoughts!

Also don’t forget to add all of the social what nots to keep super updated! 🙂

Hey, I’m not sure whether to post on here or on fb so il do both. I’m totally up for this as I don’t have many friends who are into 3d modelling, so I think a bit of networking and brain storming will be good for me as I’m pretty new to the scene. I would prefer essex as it’s a lot closer to me and well to be fair London scares me a little (anxiety sucks) but please keep me updated as I’m very much up for this. Cheers.

I’d have to travel from The Netherlands, but would so much like to be there. London!! If I’d have the money for the trip and B&B.

I would be so up for this chap. Unfortunately, I’m in the south-west :(. I arrived here (the website I mean, not the U.K lol ) through YouTube and can I say how refreshing your tutorials are. What I mean is the lack of military precision when running through the tut and not omitting the errors, It helps other figure out how to correct things. It’s kinda like listening to how your mate would explain stuff to you, and in turn that makes watching your vids so much more enjoyable. Keep up the fan-dabby-dozie (If your from that era you’ll know what I’m on about) Tutorials.

    Hi Rory,
I hope you’re well. We actually spoke a couple of times via email regarding your realistic coin tutorials a little while back.
My mate & I would definitely be interested in a meet up to potentially geek out over 3D/CGI 🙂 We both work as full-time retouchers, but have been (slowly) learning Cinema 4D for the past year or so. We work in London so this would be ideal for us, but it wouldn’t be a problem to travel further afield if necessary.
Hopefully we can get something sorted!
    Cheers, John

    Hey Rory,
I’ve just started my own studio, nearly a year old now and have been using C4D more and more on jobs, mainly for TV projects. Always good to meetup with other users and i’m based in London, so sounds good to me
